Under the aegis of the St Petersburg Jewish Community, there are several schools in which children from Jewish families, whether religious or secular, can study not only the subjects stipulated in the Russian state syllabus but also the Hebrew language, Jewish traditions, history and literature, as well as see in the Sabbath and prepare for Jewish holidays. Attached to these schools are a number of study circles intended to develop the creative and intellectual capabilities of students.
- Jewish School № 224
. The first Jewish general curriculum school in Petersburg was created in 1989, immediately after the onset of Perestroyka. Its founder was the legendary Leningrad rabbi, the dissident Rav Koritz, who later returned to Israel. - The Beit Sefer Menachem School

- Boarding school for boys
. Created in 2001. Alongside with children from regular families, the school takes in orphans and children from single-parent or underprivileged families. These children are provided with complete room and board, as well as social welfare. Besides the teaching staff, psychologists and medical workers look after the children.
